RallyMap (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the RallyMap mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the App following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Account Information: Name, email address, username, and profile photo when you register.
- Vehicle Information: Car make, model, year, photos, and modifications you choose to share.
- Profile Content: Bio, social links, and any other information you add to your profile.
- Communications: Messages sent through in-app chat and group discussions.
- User-Generated Content: Photos, posts, rally details, and hazard reports you submit.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: Precise GPS location when you use rally tracking, hazard reporting, or convoy features. We only collect location data while the feature is actively in use or when you grant background location permission.
- Device Information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Pages and features accessed, time spent in the app, interactions with content, crash reports, and performance data.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, app features used, and other diagnostics.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party services if you choose to connect them, such as social media accounts used for login.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your account
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Enable real-time rally and convoy tracking
- Facilitate community features including groups and chat
- Display hazard alerts relevant to your location and route
- Send you service-related notifications (e.g., rally invitations, hazard alerts nearby)
- Process subscription payments and manage premium features
- Monitor and analyze usage patterns to improve the App
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and abuse

4. Third-Party Services
RallyMap uses the following third-party services that may collect and process your data:
Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase for authentication, real-time database, cloud storage, and analytics. Firebase may collect device identifiers, usage data, and crash reports. See Firebase's Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and purchases. RevenueCat processes transaction data and subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
OpenWeatherMap
We use OpenWeatherMap to provide weather information relevant to your drives and routes. Your location may be shared with OpenWeatherMap to retrieve local weather data.
Agora
We use Agora to power voice and video communication features within the App. Audio and video data is processed through Agora's servers during active calls. See Agora's Privacy Policy.
5. Location Data
Location data is central to RallyMap's core features. We collect your precise location only when you actively use location-dependent features such as rally tracking, convoy mode, or hazard reporting. You can disable location access in your device settings, but this will limit or disable certain features of the App.
Location data shared during rallies is visible to other confirmed rally participants in real time. This data is not retained beyond the duration of the rally session unless you explicitly save a route.
6. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in these circumstances:
- With Other Users: Profile information, vehicle details, and content you post are visible to other users according to your privacy settings.
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the App (see Section 4).
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred.
- With Your Consent: For any other purpose with your explicit consent.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
Rally location data is deleted from our active servers within 7 days of the rally ending unless saved as a route by the rally creator.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal obligations).
- Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Opt-out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time through the App settings.
- Location: Revoke location permissions through your device settings at any time.

9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it. 10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information transmitted through the App.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers, including standard contractual clauses approved by relevant data protection authorities.
